Tate McConnell
Tate grew up in rural Alberta and is in his 4th year of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. Under the supervision of Dr. Susan Holtzman and Carolyn Crawford, he is completing an Honours Thesis that examines how different facets of online social support may uniquely influence well-being. Outside of school he is a music fan with a particular affinity for synthesizers, as well as an avid reader of science fiction.

Steffi Drasdo
Hi! My name is Steffi, and I’m a fourth-year Honours psychology student under the supervision of Dr. Susan Holtzman. My research interests focus on substance use and addiction, social media use, and adolescent development, with an emphasis on how these areas impact mental health and well-being. I was born and raised in Kelowna, and I spend just about all of my money travelling to new countries and exploring different cultures.

Noor Raza
I am a fourth-year undergraduate student pursuing a BSc in psychology. I am currently working on an honours thesis under the supervision of Dr. Holtzman. My research interests include the psychosocial factors that shape how people experience and manage health challenges, with a focus on chronic illness, stress, and coping strategies. These reflect my passion for understanding the complex interactions between mind and body, and how psychological processes influence health outcomes. After my undergraduate studies, I plan to pursue a master’s in clinical psychology.
